Rejuvenate Your Face The European Way - In 30 Minutes!
|
Dermaceutic has been working with dermatologists for
several decades and has extensive experience in the area of peels.
It is healthy and necessary to exfoliate your skin on a regular basis
to promote new regeneration. Peels are great for use as anti-aging
treatments, or mild scarring and also used to refresh the skin
periodically.
The benefits of this peel: it can
correct sun damage, reduce mild scarring, reduce the visible
signs of wrinkles, improve dark skin discolouration, remove
excessive/stubborn blackheads, reduce excessive oils and correct
hyperpigmentation.
A peel in no way alters the shape of your face. It is an
entirely natural and effective procedure performed by a professional.
It is discreet, so those around you will find you radiant without
knowing why!

Peel Away With PCA
|
|

Superficial peels work smarter to rescue your skin from
the winter's elements. One of the best ways to shake off a case of
"winter skin" is to treat yourself to a superficial chemical
peel treatment. PCA
Skin Professional peels are a special blend of ultra-exfoliating
alpha hydroxy acids and moisturizing ingredients. These treatments
loosen built-up dead skin cells and reveal a fresher surface that
responds more effectively to moisturizers. They also aid in the
correction of aging skin, dryness, acne and hyperpigmentation. Best of
all, they can be performed with little to no downtime.
The Options:
PCA's Sensi Peel is the perfect
peel solution for sensitive skin because the gentle formula can be
layered according to specific skin needs.
For more mature and dehydrated skin, Ultra Peel I
instantly improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and helps
fade age spots and other skin discolourations.
Opting for lower-depth peels more frequently and
consistently makes it possible to attain a skin care goal for the
long-term instead of a one-time result that requires more recovery
time.

Are you already using MD Lash Factor and want to enhance
your results?
Try these three tips to make your eyes stand out even
more:
1. Invest in an eyelash curler. Curling your
upper lashes will widen the appearance of your eyes gives your lashes
an extra oomph.
2. Try tinting. For those who
have lighter lashes, professional salon/spa tinting will darken lashes
to give a "mascara" effect.
3. Learn some wand tricks. When applying
mascara, push the outer lashes towards the temples, the middle ones up
towards the brows and the inner lashes to the nose. This sunray effect
drastically makes lashes look even longer.

Surgery Feature - Endoscopic Browlift
|
|
It used to be that cosmetic surgery was for the over 60
crowd. With today's minimally invasive surgical techniques, one third
of those seeking rejuvenative surgery are between 35-50 years old! Due
to facial expressions and hereditary features, people age either more
quickly in the upper face or around their jaw line.
Endoscopic browlifting is considered the "upper face
lift". It is performed to correct drooping brows and elevate the
brow line to a more youthful position. With this minimally invasive,
state of the art, surgical technique, Dr. Antoniak places a series of
3-5 1" incisions in the skin. Using an endoscope, a thin tube with
a light attached to a camera, Dr. Antoniak can then visualize the
muscles under the skin and modify their position using 2 tiny
dissolvable screws. Because the incisions are in the hairline, this is
one of the most discrete surgeries with minimal downtime! Look
refreshed and younger in less than 2 weeks!
This surgery can be done in our private surgicentre or in
combination with other surgeries at the Riverside Hospital. For more
information, call us for a consultation to see if this surgical
procedure is for you!

Invest In Your Results - Save Your Skin &
Butt Out!

Smoking & Surgery: If you're a
smoker, the best thing you can do to prepare for surgery is
to try and quit, or at least reduce the number of cigarettes
you smoke in a day. Smoking causes slow healing due to lack of oxygen,
which increases the risk of complications after cosmetic surgery or
laser resurfacing. It is suggested to quit for a minimum of 2
weeks, before and after surgery, although ideally 4-6 weeks
is recommended. Not smoking post surgery aids in proper
tissue healing from surgical scars/incisions and thus lowers the
risk of infection. The healthier your skin, the better your surgical
outcome!
Complications such as potential infections can develop due
to poor wound healing. Other risks may include problems with
anaesthetic and poor surgical results. Some patients find it very
difficult to stop smoking therefore, on occasion, I have declined
surgery to those who simply can't quit.
Smoking & Your Complexion: Did you know....
A few obvious characteristics of a smokers face are more established
lines and wrinkles, especially around the mouth and upper lip. Deep
lines may form on the cheeks and finer lines on the sides of the face
and lower jaw.
The nicotine in cigarettes causes narrowing of the blood
vessels in the outermost layers of your skin. This impairs blood flow
to your skin, which creates a sallow or grayish skin tone. Many of the
chemicals in tobacco smoke also damage collagen and elastin, fibres
that give your skin its strength and elasticity. As a result, skin
begins to sag, stain and wrinkle prematurely, and becomes dry and thin.
The good news is that some of the negative skin changes
caused from smoking can be corrected or even reversed with specific
treatments such as topical preparations, a series of chemical peels
such as PCA (Physicians Choice of Arizona) or Glycolic Acid Peels and
IPL photo-rejuvenation treatments. We often recommend the use of SkinTx
for tissue repair and anti-aging. This program helps to increase
cellular turnover and create a healthy looking skin tone.
